Update
A lot of time has passed since the last post. In that time we have acquired two new dogs (Goffrey and Dante), a Jeep and we continue to geocache, even in the snow. Last weekend I snowshoed across Lake Michigamme for an island cache called Island Lost.
Here are some pics of Geoffrey and Dante. Geoffrey is a purebred German Shorthaired Pointer. Dante is a mix-breed from the animal shelter.

Sunday Geocaching Trip
We went geocaching today with VictoryMike, Mad Poet and Dajayhawk. What a great day with great new friends! We hit ten caches, some easy and some quite difficult. We did our first five-star terrain (most difficult) but it was more like a four and a half. There was a particular vertical that was challenging with steep slopes on loose rock - about a hundred feet of crawling upward. Some of the caches we visited were Mount Mathew, Stoney Mills, La Riviere de Mort and the Dead River Walk.

Untitled
Yesterday we took Max to the Humane Society. The day previous he bit our son Corey for trying to take a spoon away. This is not the first time Max displayed this behavior and certainly wasn't going to be the last. He was an aggressive dog who was very proprietary. Whenever we left town it was impossible to find a dog sitter. When we could get one we had to wonder if he would flake out on them. We tried obedience classes and they helped with his manners - sit, stay, etc. - but he remained flaky.
Corey seems to be OK but he does have some puncture wounds on his hands. The doctor gave him antibiotics to prevent infection. We are just lucky that Max didn't do more damage than he did or that he didn't bite one of the grandchildren, a neighbor or friend.
Max will be put to sleep in 8 more days since he is not adoptable. We will miss you, Max.
To our friends and family who have stopped visiting us because of our dog, we are sorry it took so long for us to see the light.

Trenary Outhouse Classic 2006
The company I work for, Motion Industries, graciously sponsored an entry this year in the 'Thirteenth Ever Trenary Outhouse Classic'. Below are some of the pictures we took. Luke Joki and Jeff Huot were the pushers and Luke took home a $500 prize just for showing up.

The American Lunch Break
All I wanted was to sit down in the lunch room for 15 minutes to eat some goddamn tuna fish. Barely after closing the door I get paged for a phone call. Then they send someone in to tell me I have another phone call – and THEN someone actually comes in and asks a question about an order. Finally, a fourth person comes in and asks me about packing slips. All the while I am NOT getting paid while I'm 'at lunch'.
I'M IN THE LUNCHROOM. . .EATING. . .MY LUNCH. BACK THE #&*% OFF AND LEAVE ME BE.
